Dear Music Sailors…

The sun is setting behind her Majesty, Mt. Tamalpais, our golden muse and loyal Lady of the Stars.

Days are shortening, times are what we make of them. It’s an inside job.

Last weekend truth be told, we had a high adventure at Far-West Folk Alliance conference in Oakland, California – singing our hearts out and sharing music and friendship in an unexpect-ing Mariott hotel. We took over. Hundreds of us. We made a big beautiful noise. We returned home tired, and satiated as the cornucopia of memories slowly gather and rise and we all get some sleep. Thank you Far-West.

On the live front, the gig in San Rafael at The Fenix was true to her name. I loved that show.

We have been enjoying having my side project’s band, Fire Is A Phoenix’s tune “Change My Ways” on the in-store airwaves this month in Starbucks across the nation. We are looking to track a few more tunes for Fire Is A Phoenix this winter.

Next? The long awaited launch of a new website. Shows in California. An art opening featuring my work at the Plumas County Arts Commission, Quincy CA in February, announcing spring tours overseas. Our full tour in the UK will be in late May.  It has been quite a few years since I have toured in Europe. Very much looking forward to returning.

Our phone lines are open for bookings in the USA. (email micah@CorinneWest.com). You just might have a great idea we can make happen. One can’t think outside of the box, if they don’t live in one… give a show idea a whirl.

I seal up this envelope, always wishing you well, and pleased to have had this time with you.

All Love,

Corinne
